Mom Young's Talent Show

Mom was in charge of a talent show this summer at her apartment complex, and recruited the kids to perform. They all did great!

Our Mom and Grammie, Janice Marilyn Powell Young, passed on to the next life after a brief struggle caused by cancer and a stroke on January 16th. We were blessed to have some great times with her during the holidays, including our first family portrait in years. We also had this portrait of her taken. What a beautiful smile, and a beautiful woman. Such a source of strength and support for her family. We had a very nice memorial for her on January 20th. She will be long remembered and missed. A Tree for Mom

For Mother's Day, we planted a tree, a Flame Maple, in honor of our mom and grammie. All her kids and grandkids were there to help (except Mason). Our New York cousins had sent some money for this purpose when mom died and we thought it was a great thing to do. Under this tree our family will have many picnics and moments to reflect on all that mom did for us.
