We've Been Bad!

Image
3/29/13 Haven't posted anything here for a long time! Yep, we're all still alive!  Ken and DeNeise now have 4 grandkids (all boys) and one little girl on the way!  Two are Latissa and Scott's, and two plus one girl are Jorden and Alexis's. Landon is now living in Boston working for Vivint selling solar panels. Kylie is a sophomore in High School, and starring in "The Little Mermaid" musical as Sebastian the Crab. Here's a smattering of recent photos of us:

The Great Christmas Tree Hunt of 2010

Loads of winter fun was had in our hunt for 2 Christmas trees in the mountains east of Heber City, Utah on December 4th, which was Landon's 18th birthday! One tree for us and one for Scott and Latissa. Here's a few shots:

Mother's Day on Temple Square

It's become a tradition now to celebrate Mother's Day with the Tabernacle Choir and enjoy Temple Square. We did some tip-toeing through tulips this year...

A Tree for Mom

Image
For Mother's Day, we planted a tree, a Flame Maple, in honor of our mom and grammie. All her kids and grandkids were there to help (except Mason). Our New York cousins had sent some money for this purpose when mom died and we thought it was a great thing to do. Under this tree our family will have many picnics and moments to reflect on all that mom did for us.

Goodbye Mom, We Love You

Image
Our Mom and Grammie, Janice Marilyn Powell Young, passed on to the next life after a brief struggle caused by cancer and a stroke on January 16th. We were blessed to have some great times with her during the holidays, including our first family portrait in years. We also had this portrait of her taken. What a beautiful smile, and a beautiful woman. Such a source of strength and support for her family. We had a very nice memorial for her on January 20th. She will be long remembered and missed.
